Globalia Hurricane Screens are made of an 11.5 millimeters thick, cutting edge, highly resistant polypropylene weave that is 97% solid and 3% porous. This allows visibility to the exterior and the entrance of light while it stops entry of hurricane-force winds, rain and flying debris much better than conventional hurricane shutters.
We offer this same system with an option of even thicker fabric (13 or 15 millimeters) if you wish additional protection. Without exception, ALL hurricane screen industry tests and certifications are based on the 11.5 millimeter thick fabric.
